This hotel is located in Gay Soi a.k.a Boyz Town. And yes it is surrounded by lots of gay bars but it was never an issue for us and most of the bars here are becoming a more family friendly type of bars anyway. It is also near the beach road, mall and walking street. The only time you need to ride in songthaew (local buses) is if you're going to Jomtien. Aside from their delicious and affordable breakfast, their room looks elegant as if you're staying in a very expensive hotel. Friendly staff and helpful as well. Find it more relaxing to stay here. The location is a 5-minute walk from the beach and a 7-minute walk from Walking Street. Seven-Eleven is located 30M from the hotel. There are many bars and inexpensive restaurants for boys around the hotel. However, I could not hear the noise in the room. The staff is friendly and helpful. I probably stayed in the Penthouse Suite. From the 5th floor you can see the beach. There are tables and chairs in the passage on the 5th floor, and you can smoke. The room is very large and clean. Air conditioning is enough. A fan is suspended from the ceiling. There are towels and hair dryers. But there is no toothbrush. Shower can always use hot water. There are two large TVs. There is also a security box and sofa.

I like the ambience: the receptionists are always incredibly obliging to me and if you show them respect, they’ll reciprocate. The rooms are good value and clean but if you are sensitive to noise, the proximity to clubs may bother you. My boyfriend and I had 3 very good days there, and this was my 4th stay. When we come back to pattaya, it will be our 5th so you can deduce from this that i am a satisfied customer!

The room was fine, the hotel was clean, and the location was convenient, but the night receptionist boy was incredibly rude and humiliated us, laughing at our expense with his friends while talking in Thai on our checkout. He accused us of 'loosing' some bottle opener and talked over us when we tried to explain that there was no such thing in the room. This is totally unacceptable. He even told our taxi not to come when the taxi driver that we've booked for the airport phoned (we learned this after waiting for long and having to call our taxi driver to find out where he was). The whole checkout experience left us stressed and humiliated at a time when we were quite vulnerable. The Manager has responded professionally to our complaint via email and accepted responsibility, which is noble, but I feel that I must be honest on our review: We will not be coming back nor recommending to anyone to stay here. This is a hotel: they need to hire staff that actually cares how they deal with their guests or they won’t have any guests to care for.

I had spent 6 nights at a hotel in the next Soi over and paid roughly $45/night. When I found out about Ambiance Hotel through a quick online search, I knew it was time to change hotels. Sure, my room at Ambiance was a lot smaller, but it was nicely furnished and had everything I needed. I'm a straight male and had no issues with staying in BoyzTown a couple of nights. Everyone was extremely friendly. The rooms were clean and stylish, and the employees were very kind.
